Those were the findings of a recent study conducted at the University of College London. In the study, researchers gave 15 participants who had no prior history of cannabis use, 600 mg of CBD on different occasions for one week, and then 600 mg of a placebo.
The study results showed that when given CBD, blood flow increased to the participants’ hippocampus, which is the part of the brain responsible for memories, and to their orbitofrontal cortex, which is the area responsible for decision-making.
The lead author of the study, Dr. Michael Bloomfield, a professor of psychiatry at UCL, said in a press release: “’To our knowledge, this is the first study to find that CBD increases blood flow to key regions involved in memory processing, particularly the hippocampus. This supports the view that CBD has region-specific blood flow effects in the human brain, which has previously been disputed.”
If you want to improve your memory and decision-making ability by CBD, We will remind you that Phenopen cartridges offer 500mg of highly-concentrated hemp extract liquid. The difference when it comes to PhenoPen is that there’s 300mg of CBD inside each pre-filled cartridge, as well as other cannabinoids and terpenes.
