Fibromyalgia sufferers taking CBD for relief

Those with fibromyalgia have a new aid in their battle against the condition – CBD, or Cannabidiol.

Fibromyalgia is a disorder that results in widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory, and mood issues.

Researchers now think that fibromyalgia makes painful sensations worse by affecting the way the brain processes pain signals. The good news for fibromyalgia sufferers is that CBD is a safe, natural pain reliever.

Common benefits associated with CBD include anxiety relief, relaxation, pain relief, and better sleep. A recent study also indicated CBD may be good for treating fibromyalgia pain.

Fibromyalgia affects millions worldwide. While over 90% of those with the condition are women, it also affects men. In fact, physicians now believe the condition may be more prevalent among men than previously believed. Whether you are a woman or a man, if you have fibromyalgia pain, more and more studies are showing that CBD may be the solution you need to feel better.

Phenopen’s excellent extract contains 75% total cannabinoids.

Can CBD Make Your Memory Sharp as a Tack?

Researchers from the University College of London have discovered that CBD can help improve your memory and decision making. Learn how you can boost your brain health with CBD today.

Marijuana is commonly associated with forgetfulness, but it turns out when Cannabidiol, or CBD, is isolated from marijuana (or hemp) it actually works to improve your memory and decision making.

Those were the findings of a recent study conducted at the University of College London. In the study, researchers gave 15 participants who had no prior history of cannabis use, 600 mg of CBD on different occasions for one week, and then 600 mg of a placebo.

The study results showed that when given CBD, blood flow increased to the participants’ hippocampus, which is the part of the brain responsible for memories, and to their orbitofrontal cortex, which is the area responsible for decision-making.

The lead author of the study, Dr. Michael Bloomfield, a professor of psychiatry at UCL, said in a press release: “’To our knowledge, this is the first study to find that CBD increases blood flow to key regions involved in memory processing, particularly the hippocampus. This supports the view that CBD has region-specific blood flow effects in the human brain, which has previously been disputed.”

If you want to improve your memory and decision-making ability by CBD, We will remind you that Phenopen cartridges offer 500mg of highly-concentrated hemp extract liquid. The difference when it comes to PhenoPen is that there’s 300mg of CBD inside each pre-filled cartridge, as well as other cannabinoids and terpenes.

DID YOU KNOW?

Our body normally produces endocannabinoids inside the body. while the phytocannabinoids are produced in plants, as is CBD, and they can act as supplements to fill the body’s needs or give a boost.

These compounds are found in several areas within our body, such as the digestive, nervous, reproductive, and immune systems. They are thought to cure a few parts of the body, as they are found in many areas. Although they aren’t able to heal all the tissues, they do regulate inflammation, neurotransmitter function, mitochondrial function, and metabolism.

It’s Time To Know What Health Benefits CBD Has To Offer Us

CBD Effects on Menopause and Andropause Symptoms

As known women are suffering from the menopause symptoms around the age of 40, less known is that men are suffering from the effects of andropause. A natural solution has been found for menopause and andropause symptoms  – CBD.

CBD has been shown to provide natural relief for many of the common symptoms produced by these conditions, including fatigue, sleeplessness, aching joints, weight gain, hot flashes, and more.

A recent study by BDS Analytics found that women are starting to catch on to the relief provided by CBD. In that study, women surveyed said menopause was one of the top three reasons why they were using CBD for self-care. Other top reasons included menstruation and sex. Men are also starting to use CBD for symptom relief from male menopause, experts say.

One of the biggest keys to enjoying relief from menopause and andropause is to find a high-quality CBD product. Many companies are looking to earn profits from the “CBD craze” and that has led them to cut corners in the manufacturing process and to use less than the highest quality ingredients in an effort to reduce costs and maximize profits.

Experts say if you are looking for menopause or andropause relief, you should look for a company that offers full-spectrum CBD and that pays close attention to both the CBD growth phase as well as the CBD extraction phase when it comes to creating their products. Finding a CBD provider with attention to detail and a commitment to excellence is vital for ensuring your health.

How do CBD & Alcohol Interact

If you have ever wondered how CBD and alcohol interact a new study has answered that question.

In the study, entitled “Interaction of cannabidiol and alcohol in humans,” subjects were given in treatments spaced one week apart – Placebo, Cannabidiol (CBD), CBD and alcohol, Alcohol.

The results? Compared to the placebo, the alcohol and alcohol plus CBD treatments produced “significant impairments of motor and psychomotor performances, overestimations of time production and subjective responses indicating an accurate self-perception of their intoxication and deficits.”

However, the combination of alcohol plus CBD resulted in significantly lower blood alcohol levels compared to alcohol given alone. Also, the CBD alone treatment produced no impairments.

Researchers said about the results “the inactivity of CBD, a major marijuana constituent, on the motor and mental performance and effects also extends to its interaction with alcohol.”

Improve SEX life with CBD

Could taking CBD be the key to enhancing your sex life?

Many experts now say it could be! That’s right, CBD isn’t just good for relaxation and stress and pain relief, it can also spice up your sex life. Here are five ways taking CBD could improve your sex life:

♥ Boost pleasure. CBD increases anandamide in the body and numerous studies have shown that an increase in anandamide during sex can enhance pleasure. Taking CBD may also boost confidence and reduce anxiety, both of which could lead to enhanced feelings of pleasure.

♥ Reduce Performance Anxiety. Many men, and women, experience anxiety when it comes to sex. These feelings can limit arousal and affect performance. Taking CBD is a great way to reduce feelings of anxiety and replace them with a state of calmness so that you can perform at your best.

♥ Stop Vaginal Pain. Many women may experience pain in their vagina during sex. CBD can be a great pain reliever and preventer. Taking CBD before sex could help reduce inflammation and help women and men feel better.

♥ Increase Arousal. According to experts, CBD can increase blood flow to the sexual organs resulting in heightened sexual arousal as well as an increase in orgasm intensity.

♥ Improve Erectile Dysfunction. CBD usage may also help men who suffer from erectile dysfunction (ED). CBD is thought to dilate the blood vessels and promote healthier blood flow and circulation.

One of the best ways to consume CBD is through vaping – and one of the best vaping methods available today is Phenopen. PhenoPen boasts a 100% pure hemp extract with a 59.7% CBD concentration.

Are There Risks Associated With Vaping PG and VG?

Time to know what is PG and VG and what you should know about it

THC is the psychoactive compound found in cannabis and it can be mixed with vape liquids to be taken in a vaporizer. However, the vape pods which led to the problems are thought to have contained another additive called Vitamin E acetate. It’s unclear why this substance, which is clearly not safe for vaping, was put into the vape liquid, although some have suggested that it’s to do with consistency. We’re taking a closer look at the primary ingredients in vape liquids; namely PG, VG, and MCT.

What is PG?

PG stands for Propylene Glycol and it belongs to the alcohol chemical class of additives but is non-intoxicating. PG, like VG, is considered to be sugar alcohol and is found in a range of everyday products. PG is a petroleum-based liquid that has no color or smell. It makes for good nicotine (or THC, CBD) carrier and is associated with the “throat hit” that many vapers enjoy. PG also carries any flavorings in the vape liquid well. PG is found in toothpaste, medical products, pet food, and beauty products.

For the time being, no one knows the effect of inhaling PG and certainly not the long-term effects as vaping has only been around for around a decade. Most people who vape PG have no issues with it, however, there’s no getting away from the fact that PG is a chemical, and is oil-based, and that is certainly a concern for some people.

What is VG?

VG stands for Vegetable Glycerin and is a natural chemical extracted from vegetable oils as the name suggests. VG is used in vape liquids to produce dense clouds of vapor and has a sweet taste. VG is also much thicker than PG, making the vape liquid appear more appealing. The other difference between PG and VG is that VG is smoother on the throat and some vapers even vape 100% VG-based liquids. PG and VG are usually mixed in a 1:1 ratio to make vape juice, and then the nicotine, THC, CBD, or flavorings are added into the mix.

Vaping products exist on the market that contains MCT, also known as coconut oil. MCT is rare to find in vaping products but it is available and some people consider it to be safer than PG or VG.

With that said, for those interested in vaping CBD, there are products that contain neither PG, VG, or MCT. For those wanting to vape medicinal elements of cannabis and hemp, it’s worth looking out for vape liquids which are made from 100% pure hemp extract and nothing else. PhenoPen cartridges contain only pure hemp extract (with various waxes and oils removed), CBD (300mg per cartridge), other minor cannabinoids and terpenes.

PhenoPen liquid is rigorously tested by third-party labs and contains no solvents, pesticides, heavy metals, or vitamin E acetate. If you’re interested in vaping potent, high-quality CBD with pure hemp extract and no PG or VG, check out the products page on our website.

Taking CBD to Feel Better

Could CBD be the key to you feeling better than you do now?

A new study entitled, “Circulating Endocannabinoids: From Whence Do They Come and Where are They Going?” seems to think so.

In the study, researchers point out that our endocannabinoid signaling system is involved in numerous diseases and disorders. For example, hyperactivity of endocannabinoid signaling contributes to excessive intake and storage of high-calorie foods, while endocannabinoid hypoactivity is a risk factor for the development of depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

The good news is that CBD, or Cannabidiol, stimulates the endocannabinoid system to produce its own cannabinoids.

These cannabinoids then act to restore the balance in areas where you may be experiencing difficulties – like sleep, mood, temperature control, immune response, pain and pleasure perception, fertility, memory, and appetite.

CBD extracts’ effects differ – even contradict – depending on your body’s needs. For instance, your brain will be more active during the day, so you may notice a clearer head and more energy.

The opposite will be true at night, with many people using CBD as a sleep aid or for general relaxation during inactive periods.

Overall, CBD can be either relaxing or stimulating, depending on what your brain and body need. Regardless, you won’t notice any physical or mental impairment like THC produces, you well only feeling better.

CBD & Terpenes Fight COVID-19 Pandemic!

Worried about COVID-19? We have some good news!

A new study has found that terpenes plus CBD is 2X better than a corticosteroid in treating COVID-19 inflammation!

That means vaping PhenoPen, which offers full-spectrum CBD in a 59.7% concentration, may help provide the needed protection. Full-spectrum CBD contains, in addition to CBD, other cannabinoids and terpenes that are found in the cannabis plant.

In the study, it was found that CBD when combined with terpenes, which are the compounds that provide the aroma and flavor in cannabis and other plants, might outperform traditional COVID-19 inflammation treatments (including corticosteroids).

The Israeli researchers discovered that CBD combined with terpenes was two times more effective at inhibiting cytokine activity than dexamethasone, a corticosteroid.

Older Adults Benefiting from CBD

A few studies have shown some benefits for conditions that commonly affect older adults.

CBD is currently thought to reduce inflammation in the body. This is very important for older adults because inflammation tends to increase as we age and it has been shown to be the underlying factor of a lot of health issues – everything from joint pain and poor memory to more serious conditions like cancer and diabetes.

For example, this study shows that Cannabidiol (CBD), and other cannabinoids, may interfere with the body’s release of cytokine, which are proteins that are involved in acute and chronic inflammation.

CBD is also thought to help modulate the immune system so that it keeps running smoothly (study). This is important in light of the Coronavirus Pandemic which is still resulting in thousands of new cases a day.

And, of course, CBD has also been shown to relieve stress and anxiety in older people (study). Stress can be very dangerous and lead to a number of health conditions, including a weakened immune system.

A stronger immune system will help seniors not only better resist the Coronavirus but also recover sooner if they do catch it!
