Why CBD Doesn’t Work

Almost everyday, we hear from who have had frustrating experiences with CBD. Maybe you’ve had similar experiences, especially if you:

  • Took CBD as an oil, gummy, or other edible
  • Tried a generic CBD formula
  • Quickly stopped CBD after not seeing fast
  • Chose a cheap, low-quality CBD brand

If that sounds familiar to your experience, you’re in luck! These are common pitfalls that CBD customers often fall into, but there are ways to avoid these issues entirely. Below, we’ll discuss these issues (and more) in detail, why they prevent a fully satisfying CBD experience, and what you can do to make sure you get the full benefits that CBD has to offer.

Problem #1: Using CBD Products with Low Bioavailability

The biggest problem customers face when trying to use CBD products is the lack of bioavailability. In short, bioavailability refers to how easily medicine or other substances  (including CBD) can be absorbed into your body. If you’re using a CBD product with low bioavailability, then you may not have had enough CBD absorbed into your body to feel the active .

Factors that Affect Bioavailability

Not sure what impacts CBD’s bioavailability? There are several factors that can increase, or decrease, CBD’s ability to absorb into your bloodstream:

  • Method of Use: Patches or inhaled forms of CBD usually have higher levels of bioavailability because in this delivery method, the CBD avoids the digestive system. Ingestible forms of CBD, like oils or capsules, usually have low levels of bioavailability, since your digestive system destroys most of the CBD.
  • Product Purity: If your CBD product has ingredient fillers or contaminants, you’re not going to get the levels of absorption you would with pure CBD products.
  • Product Design: Certain CBD products may be specifically designed from the beginning to increase bioavailability (like PhenoLife). This is especially important for ingestible forms of CBD, since it has to survive harsh stomach acids.

Problem #2: Using the Wrong CBD Formula

Another common issue we see customers face is getting the wrong kind of CBD formula. If you don’t get a CBD formula that’s a good match for your challenge, then you may not get the results you were hoping for. Let’s take a look at the different kinds of CBD formulas that you’ll commonly see on the market.

Broad-Spectrum CBD

Broad-spectrum CBD is the same as full-spectrum CBD, except the trace amounts of have been removed. This may allow customers to still benefit from the entourage effect from other cannabinoids and terpenes present in the products while avoiding THC.

CBD-Isolate

Products made with CBD-isolate will contain only CBD. None of the other cannabinoids or terpenes present in the sourced hemp will be present. This means customers won’t be able to benefit from the entourage effect, and customers will generally pay a premium price, since isolating CBD requires extensive processing.

Catered Formulas

Many CBD brands create CBD formulas that include other active ingredients to help target specific health challenges. Choosing a CBD product that’s targeted to help anxiety when you’re looking to manage chronic pain might not give you the results you were hoping for.

If you are trying to hone in on a targeted health challenge, a catered, full-spectrum CBD formula is the best choice for maximum results.

Problem #3: Inconsistent or Improper CBD Dosing

This is one of the most common we see with customers that say that they felt some effects from CBD but never got the results they were looking for. It’s a confusing issue because most customers will feel CBD the very first time they take it, but they won’t get the best results on the first dose

To start, your first dose is not likely to be the amount of CBD you take forever. Regardless of what CBD product you use, we usually recommend our customers start with low doses and slowly work their way up as they understand how a specific product will make them feel. Starting with a huge CBD dose can cause uncomfortable side-effects.

CBD Needs Consistent Dosing To Work

Not only do you need to work up to your ideal dose of CBD, but you need to regularly take it to begin to feel the best effects. Usually, this takes up around 10 days of daily CBD dosing of any product you choose. We’ve noticed many customers take CBD for just a few days and quit without giving the CBD enough time to fully saturate the body.

Give yourself time to find the ideal dose and then consistently take that dose for the best effects.

Problem #4: Choosing the Wrong Delivery System

As we mentioned in the previous point, different forms of CBD offer different advantages for customers. Certain delivery methods of CBD are better for helping to manage certain health challenges, and a delivery mismatch can make it feel like CBD isn’t offering the benefits it’s supposed to. Here’s a quick overview of the primary kinds of CBD and what to expect use:

Inhalable Forms of CBD

Forms of CBD that you can inhale will enter your bloodstream the fastest, and since it bypasses your digestive system, the bioavailability of inhaled CBD is generally high (around 30%). This form of CBD is great for sudden, unexpected problems, like acute pain or a panic attack, but the effects don’t last very long compared to ingestible forms of CBD or transdermal patches.

Transdermal CBD Patches

Transdermal CBD patches allow for consistent CBD dosing for up to 8 hours, and with bioavailability levels at 80%, they are perfect for consistent, long-term dosing. However, it can take a while for the CBD to absorb through your skin and reach your bloodstream, which makes patches a poor choice for sudden, unexpected issues.

Also, transdermal patches are not the same as topical CBD lotions. Topical lotions may provide some local relief directly where applied, but they are not designed to deliver CBD into the bloodstream. That means using lotions to help with widespread pain or anxiety will never provide the results you want.

Ingestible Forms of CBD

Finally, ingestible forms of CBD, while popular, have notoriously low bioavailability levels. Most ingestible forms only have 6% bioavailability, which means products like oils, tinctures, or capsules need extra potent, consistent doses to be effective. Ingestible CBD tends to have longer effects than inhalable forms of CBD and will usually take effect faster than transdermal patches.

Problem #5: Fraudulent CBD Products

In the UK, the CBD isn’t regulated by a formal government body. That means it’s up to CBD brands to police themselves to provide pure, high-grade products. Some less reputable brands will add fillers to their CBD products (and not disclose it), or they may be lying how much CBD is in their products.

This is a common issue. A study performed by the National Institute of Health showed that, from their sampling of CBD products, 26% contained less CBD than advertised, while 43% contained more CBD than advertised. This same study also showed that 21% of these products also contained THC levels above the legal limit, which was “enough to intoxicate children.”

Your CBD product may not have worked because it didn’t have the amount of CBD as advertised.

How PhenoLife Makes CBD That Works

If you think that you’re ready to give CBD another try, then take a look at how PhenoLife resolves these common problems with CBD

PhenoLife Products Offer Superior Bioavailability

We have crafted our products specifically to increase bioavailability. First, our products like the PhenoPen and the PhenoPatch have naturally high rates of absorption. Next, our PhenoGel capsules use advanced microencapsulation technology to offer superior bioavailability to traditional CBD ingestible products.

PhenoGel capsules are made with a protective coating that prevents CBD from being destroyed by your stomach acid (and that protective coating is dissolved from a specific enzyme released from the pancreas). Then, the microbead technology releases our CBD formula in a controlled dose, which gives your body a chance to absorb more CBD (while also helping the effects last longer).

PhenoLife Uses Full-Spectrum, Targeted Formulas For Superior Results

PhenoLife uses full-spectrum CBD in all of our products, since we want our products to provide the best results possible. We’ve also created targeted formulas for the three most common health challenges that CBD has the potential to help manage:

  • Body for managing pain
  • Mind for soothing anxiety
  • Sleep for encouraging a full night of sleep

All three of our formulas are available with PhenoPen, PhenoGel, and PhenoPatch.

PhenoLife Offers the Best CBD Delivery Systems

PhenoLife has developed three primary methods of taking CBD, each that have their own pros and cons of use:

PhenoPen

PhenoPen creates a vapor that is inhaled by users, which quickly delivers CBD into the bloodstream. This form of CBD is ideal for fast-acting relief for acute, onset challenges (like unexpected pain or an anxiety attack). However, the effects are short-lived, which may present an issue for customers looking for a longer-lasting option (like for help sleeping).

PhenoPatch

PhenoPatch is a transdermal patch that is applied directly onto your skin to deliver a slow, controlled dose of CBD. The patch lasts up to 8 hours, which makes it a great choice for customers wanting to use CBD to help get a good night’s rest, or for customers that want an all-day CBD solution.

However, it can take 45 minutes to an hour for customers to feel the effects of the PhenoPatch, which makes it a less optimal choice for trying to manage acute pain or a bout of unexpected stress.

PhenoGel

PhenoGel is a slow-release gel capsule specifically designed to enhance CBD absorption. The effects of the capsules take longer than the PhenoPen, but the effects will last longer than inhaling vapor. PhenoGel capsules will begin to take effect faster than the PhenoPatch, but the effects last a few hours less than the patches.

PhenoGel shines as a convenient way to take CBD regardless of where you are. If you want a discrete, easy way to take CBD (without having to manage a patch), then PhenoGel may be your ideal choice.

Combined Solutions

We encourage customers to combine PhenoLife products if there doesn’t seem to be a single product that meets their needs. This is a common practice for customers who struggle to fall asleep and stay asleep, who want to manage chronic pain consistently but also experience acute pain spikes, or who want to keep general anxiety low while also being prone to panic attacks.

PhenoLife Takes CBD Seriously

We want our customers to trust us, but we understand that trust has to be earned. That’s why we perform third-party lab testing on all of our products, which demonstrates:

  • The amount of CBD labeled on products is accurate
  • The amount of other labeled cannabinoids is accurate
  • The lack of contamination from heavy metals

We also work to educate customers on the best way to take CBD, including ideal initial doses, how to step up to more potent doses, and techniques to follow if the desired results aren’t being experienced.

Trick or Treat: The CBD facts (or myths) explained.

In the spirit of Halloween, the experts at PhenoLife want to dive into the tricks or treats of using CBD. The following six statements will either be a about CBD (something that is true) or a (something that is not true about CBD).

TRICK or TREAT: CBD Gets You High

There can be a lot of confusion about how CBD affects you. After all, it comes from cannabis (which is famous for getting people high), and many customers are concerned that using CBD will get them unexpectedly or uncomfortably high.

So, is this a trick or a treat?

CBD Gets Your High: Trick

This is a trick. While CBD is found in cannabis, it is not intoxicating. The compound responsible for the traditional high associated with cannabis is THC, which is a restricted in most countries. However, CBD is unrestricted in most countries, largely in part to the fact that it ’t make you high.

However, just because CBD doesn’t get you high doesn’t mean you won’t feel it. CBD can make you and can affect your mood, and there’s a small percentage of people who won’t tolerate the effects of CBD well. However, the vast majority of customers that use CBD will avoid some of the uncomfortable side-effects, especially if they start with low, comfortable doses.

TRICK or TREAT: All CBD Products is the Same

The market is full of CBD choices, and while there’s a in how you can take CBD, there’s not a difference in the CBD itself, right?

All CBD is the Same: Trick

This is a huge trick. There are enormous differences between CBD products (aside from products being oils, capsules, etc.). First, the kind of CBD used can be different. Customers are often surprised (and a bit confused), when they discover that there are three kinds of CBD:

  • Full-spectrum CBD: This is the least processed form of CBD. It contains all of the naturally occurring cannabinoids and found in hemp, which may help the CBD product be more effective. PhenoLife products use full-spectrum CBD in all of their products.
  • Broad-spectrum CBD: This form of CBD is slightly more processed. It still contains many of the natural cannabinoids and terpenes found in hemp, with the noticeable lack of THC. Some customers may want to avoid THC, even legal, trace amounts, but also take advantage of the other natural cannabinoids and terpenes present in the hemp.
  • CBD isolate: This is the most processed form of CBD. It contains only CBD (so no other cannabinoids or terpenes). This form of CBD is usually the most expensive, since it requires far more effort to make sure that only CBD is present.

In addition to the different kinds of CBD, there’s a difference between the same kinds of CBD. Most countries don’t regulate the CBD industry at all, which means companies can lie about what kind of CBD is in their product, how much CBD is in their product, and whether or not there’s something else in their product besides CBD.

This is why you should always make sure that any CBD products you buy are tested by a third-party lab, and that you have access to those results. Third-party testing is a common practice by high-end CBD brands, and it’s the only way you can know for sure what is and is not in your CBD product.

TRICK or TREAT: CBD Helps with Anxiety

Anxiety can be difficult to manage for many people. Some may have trouble getting access to healthcare to get prescriptions, while others may struggle to handle the side-effects of anti-anxiety medications like Zoloft or Prozac. Even medications for acute anxiety, like Xanax, are hard to use while you need to go about your normal day.

So, can CBD help with anxiety?

CBD Helps with Anxiety: Treat

Treat! While the research into CBD is still pretty early, the research that we have strongly suggests that CBD can help to manage all kinds of anxiety . A 2015 study suggests that CBD may be able to treat a wide range of anxiety disorders without harmful side-effects.

Another 2019 study showed that 79% of participants reported lower anxiety in the first month of using CBD, and those positive results continued to be reported the months that the study was conducted. If you have anxiety , and you want to stop taking traditional anti-anxiety medications (or you can’t take them or don’t have access to them) CBD could be an option.

TRICK or TREAT: CBD Helps When You’ve Gotten Too High

If you have legal access to THC products, you may have experienced a situation when you’ve gotten “too high.” While this won’t create a medical emergency, it can still be an uncomfortable experience that lasts for hours.

There’s several purported home remedies (like sucking on a lemon or chewing peppercorns), but several people have begun to say that CBD might be able to help, too. So, can CBD help when you’ve gotten too high?

CBD Helps When You’ve Gotten Too High: Treat

Treat! There’s some early research that suggests CBD can help you from getting too high and can soothe a high that is too strong. Since THC and CBD interact with your endocannabinoid receptors the same way, if CBD attaches first, it will block THC from attaching, so you won’t get as high or for as long.

CBD can also help soothe the negative side-effects of THC, especially increasing anxiety or stress. As we’ve already mentioned CBD can help to reduce anxiety, so it can help to level out your high if you begin to feel stressed or panicked.

Research into how THC and CBD interact is still early, but if you have legal access to THC and accidentally get too high, then CBD might be able to help!

TRICK or TREAT: CBD Can Be Absorbed Through Your Skin

Most people know that you can inhale or ingest CBD to get results, but there are several different kinds of products that are now available on the market.. There are CBD-infused bath bombs, lotions, and even patches, all claiming to be able to deliver CBD into the bloodstream. It’s natural to be skeptical about this claim, so can CBD be absorbed through your skin?

CBD Can Be Absorbed Through the Skin: Treat

Treat! CBD can be absorbed through the skin, but there’s a bit of nuance that customers should be aware of. Topical products, or products like creams that are placed on the skin, will not pass into your bloodstream. They can provide relief where they are placed (for example, rubbing a CBD lotion on sore muscles), but you won’t get the benefits that you would from inhaling or ingesting.

However, if you look at transdermal products, the story changes. Transdermal means that a substance passes through the skin into the bloodstream. Transdermal CBD products are usually patches (like the PhenoPatch), and they deliver CBD into your bloodstream like ingesting or inhaling.

Transdermal CBD products have an enormous advantage in absorption. Since they stay on your skin for hours, and the CBD will completely bypass your digestive system, your body has the time to absorb the vast majority of the CBD present. For example, the PhenoPatch has 80% bioavailability, the highest of PhenoLife’s CBD products.

CBD can be absorbed through the skin, but if you’re looking to get the same effects as ingesting or inhaling CBD, make sure you get transdermal CBD products, not topical.

TRICK or TREAT: CBD Is Addicting

There’s a lot of people that still don’t know much about CBD or cannabis, which can lead to some confusion about how CBD impacts the body. A common question (or belief) is that CBD is addicting, so let’s take a look! Is CBD addicting?

CBD Is Addicting: Trick!

There is no research to indicate that CBD is addicting. In fact, it’s possible that CBD may help resolve addiction to other harmful substances. Regardless, you can rest assured knowing that CBD is not addictive, nor is there currently evidence of harm due to long-term use.

Conclusion

There’s a lot to learn about CBD, and a lot of easy ways to get confused about what CBD really does. To wrap up some our tricks and treats, we learned that CBD:

  • Doesn’t get you high
  • Exists in several forms and may vary in quality and purity from brand to brand
  • May help to manage anxiety
  • Might help soothe intense highs caused by THC
  • Can be absorbed through the skin via transdermal patches
  • Is not addicting

A CBD Beginner’s Guide

New to CBD? We’ve created a guide to help navigate using CBD for the first time.

We’ll discuss what CBD is, the different ways you can take CBD, how to choose quality CBD products, and what to expect when you start to use CBD products.

Getting Started with CBD

Before you dive into taking CBD, it’s good to understand what CBD actually is, where it comes from, and the different options you have to take it.

What is CBD

CBD is short for cannabidiol, which is a cannabinoid naturally found in cannabis. Specifically, CBD is found in high concentrations in hemp, which is a type of cannabis that readily grows in a variety of different conditions.

Unlike other well-known cannabinoids, like , CBD doesn’t have an intoxicating effect on the user. It won’t make you high like marijuana (another kind of cannabis) will, because it doesn’t have high enough concentrations of THC and other cannabinoids that can create the classic “stoned” effect marijuana is famous for.

Ways to Take CBD

There’s a lot of different ways to take CBD, and each style of CBD offers unique :

Topicals (creams)

CBD can be absorbed through the skin, which means it can be directly applied to areas of inflammation for pain relief. CBD creams are common for this reason and are often used to relieve  aching muscles or joint pain related to conditions like arthritis.

Inhaler

CBD inhalers (or vaporizers) are a common way to use CBD. With this method, cartridges in the device are connected to batteries, which heat the inside. This vaporizes the oil, which can then be inhaled by the user. Inhaling CBD creates a fast effect, but the effect doesn’t last as long as ingesting CBD through capsules or oils.

Capsules

CBD capsules are another common choice to take CBD. With capsules, all you have to do is swallow your preferred dose like you would a vitamin. Since the CBD is more concentrated, the will last much longer than the CBD you inhale. However, since it has to work its way through your digestive system before it hits your bloodstream, it will take longer to feel the effects.

Unlike oils, capsules are pre-doses and tasteless, which may appeal to customers looking for a hassle-free way to take CBD.

Oils

CBD oils were one of the earliest ways to take CBD, and they continue to be a popular choice. To use them, an eyedropper is used to pull out the oil (and the dropper is sometimes marked with measurements), and then the desired dose is dropped underneath the tongue. Oils, like capsules, offer a potent CBD experience, though they also take longer than inhaling CBD.

Unlike capsules, oils have a few roadblocks that may not appeal to some customers. First, the taste of oils can be strong, and the natural flavor of cannabis may not be appealing to some customers. Even when flavors are added, many customers don’t enjoy the taste. Also, it is difficult to precisely measure doses with oils, especially if your eyedropper doesn’t have measurements marked.

Patches

CBD patches are an easy way to get controlled, sustained doses of CBD. Since the CBD will pass through your skin, customers enjoy high levels of bioavailability, and patches can easily be worn during the day or through the night. Patches can take up to an hour to start taking effect, so other product forms will be a choice for fast-acting relief.

CBD Quality

CBD is unregulated by most governments, including the U.S. and the U.K.) which means there’s no legal enforcement of purity or quality standards. This can make it difficult for beginners to find a quality product (and beginners who end up with subpar CBD products can be turned off from using CBD entirely).

Fortunately, there’s a few quality markers to look for when shopping for a CBD product, which can help new and veteran customers alike find a high-quality, reliable brand:

Testing

Any trustworthy CBD brand will provide 3rd party lab of their products. This is the only reliable way to know if the CBD product is pure. If a brand doesn’t offer independent 3rd party lab results, then we encourage you to continue looking for a brand that is willing to be transparent and honest about the product they’re selling.

Bioavailability

Another hallmark to look for in CBD is bioavailability. CBD bioavailability refers to how much of the CBD ends up making it to your bloodstream before it’s destroyed by your digestive system or otherwise removed by the body. Bioavailability is important because it allows lower doses of CBD to be more effective, which means you can take less CBD at a time, saving you money.

Not all brands will talk about the bioavailability of their products (even high-quality brands). To help set you on the right track, we’ve ranked the common forms of CBD by their level of bioavailability, starting with the styles with the easiest absorption:

  1. Topicals (creams/patches) (up to 80% bioavailability)
  2. Inhaled forms of CBD (up to 35% bioavailability)
  3. Capsules (6% bioavailability, if not specifically formulated for absorption, like PhenoGel)
  4. Oils (6% bioavailability)

Choosing a brand that focuses on bioavailability is important to get the most out of the CBD you use. PhenoLife has made bioavailability a top priority among our products, creating formulas that are easily absorbed and are slowly released into your bloodstream.

How it Works

CBD works by interacting with your endocannabinoid system, which is responsible for regulating functions like appetite, mood, and . It also works as an anti-inflammatory, which is why some people look to CBD to treat certain kinds of pain (more on that in a few sections below).

Time it Takes

When customers ask about how long it takes for CBD products to work, there’s really two answers to that question. When you first take CBD, you’ll feel some of the effects within 15 minutes – 1hr (depending on which form you take). Customers may feel relaxed, calm, sleepy, as well as some pain-relief effects.

However, for major results, it’ll take at least a few days (and usually around a week) for enough CBD to build up in your system to feel the true effects. Below, you’ll see a graph specifically for PhenoLife products that shows the timeline you can expect for the full results to be felt:

Impact on Body

Research also suggests that CBD may have anti-inflammatory and antioxidative properties, This means it may be able to help relieve inflammatory pain associated with conditions like:

  • Chronic back pain
  • Arthritis or other inflammatory joint issues
  • Crohn’s disease or other inflammatory digestive issues
  • Any pain associated with inflammation

The antioxidative properties may help to manage or prevent diseases associated with oxidative stress, which would include:

  • Alzheimer’s
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Cancer
  • Parkinson’s
  • Inflammatory disorders

More research is needed to make any concrete claims about managing inflammation or diseases associated with oxidative stress, but the current research that is available is very promising for CBD.

Impact on Mind

Research suggests that CBD can help to manage a variety of anxiety disorders. If anxiety or stress is impacting your daily life, making it hard to focus on hobbies or work, or if it’s impacting your sleep, then CBD may end up being a great option for you.

Unlike other traditional anti-anxiety medications, like Xanax or Zoloft, CBD has very mild side-effects, and the vast majority of customers are able to tolerate CBD with no issues at all.

Impact on Sleep

Finally, CBD may help customers fall asleep and stay asleep in several ways. First, if you struggle to sleep due to chronic pain or anxiety, and CBD helps to relieve those issues, then your quality of sleep may . CBD also has the potential to help manage sleep disorders not induced by pain or anxiety, especially in high doses.

Unlike prescription medication sleep aids, CBD does not come with any significant negative side-effects (like extreme sedation, erratic behavior, or heavy grogginess the following day).

Conclusion

CBD offers an excellent route for customers who want to tackle health challenges that have been difficult to resolve. However, different methods of CBD can be more or less effective, as well as different formulas that contain CBD.

If you have questions about how to choose the best CBD product for you, let us know! We’re happy to your questions and make sure you get into a CBD choice that’s perfect for your needs.

What Dosage of CBD Should You Take?

Those searching for a approach to their wellbeing will have more than likely heard about . However, the many formulations available mean it can be difficult for some to find the right fit for the condition they’re attempting to treat.

Recent research has shown CBD to be a popular choice for several conditions and disorders, and there are plenty of options available when yielding its potential benefits. However, it also be noted the sensation can differ.

As the FDA does not govern CBD, there are no set dosage guidelines, so many find it difficult to determine the right amount.

Regardless of whether you want to use CBD for anxiety, , or any other ailment, it is crucial to understand what CBD is, as well as the variations available. From here, those trying CBD for the first time can better manage their CBD intake.

What Is CBD?

Cannabidiol is the second most active ingredient in cannabis. CBD does not contain the psychoactive elements found in tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) despite deriving from the same plant. As such, it can be used without the concern of high sensation.

What Type of CBD Should You Take?

Those trying CBD for the first time may be surprised to learn there are three variants of CBD available. Although all iterations can potentially benefit users, knowing the makes finding the right fit easier.

Isolate

As the name suggests, the isolate variation does not contain cannabinoids.

Broad-Spectrum

Broad-spectrum contains CBD as well as other cannabinoids, minus THC.

Full-Spectrum

Full-spectrum contains CBD, THC, and several other cannabinoids.

The Potential Benefits of CBD

CBD has the potential to treat a series of conditions. The following is an overview of the studies undertaken regarding the potential benefits cannabidiol can provide.

Helps with Depression

Depression is a complex illness that can involve various treatments to manage. Although CBD will not be the perfect treatment in every instance, studies show potential benefits when using cannabidiol to treat depression.

Can Be Used to Anxiety

Like depression, anxiety can be challenging to manage, especially among those searching for a natural option. Although medical advice needs to be sought first, those who feel a natural treatment is best will find CBD can reduce anxiety in many instances.

Research has shown CBD to be beneficial in treating several anxiety-based conditions, including OCD and social anxiety.

Determining the Right Dose

The first thing those trying CBD need to consider is there is no agreed dosage when treating different conditions, rather guidance. Although can experience many of the same sensations as others, some may be unique to them.

As such, it is recommended to start with a small dose when trying CBD for the first time.

The studies carried out regarding CBD were done so using the following dosages.

  • Anxiety: Between 300 mg and 600 mg daily.
  • Bowel Disease: 10 mg dosage daily.
  • Cancer-Related Pain Management: Between 75 mg and 300 mg daily.
  • Sleep Disorders: 25 mg daily.

As advised, some people may require less or more than the guidance provided, so starting small and monitoring its is advisable when trying CBD for the first time.

Can You Take Too Much CBD?

When experimenting with CBD, some people are understandably concerned about the potential of taking too much. In the past, dosages as high as 1,500mg have been used with no detrimental outcome. However, simply taking a high dosage is not recommended, and in most instances, smaller doses will be just as effective.

How Should I Consume CBD?

The great thing about CBD is that it is available in several forms, so finding the right fit should never be a problem. The following is an overview of some of the options available regarding CBD treatments.

Inhalation

The inhalation of CBD can be carried out in one of two ways. Some may choose to use CBD concentrate, while others may prefer to vape CBD oil. Both offer an effective way of delivering CBD into the body but can be harsh on the lungs.

Topical Application

The topical application of CBD means applying lotions, balms, and creams. Using topical applications can be ideal for those suffering from joint pain or skin conditions.

However, those who do require higher doses of CBD could find many applications need to be made to feel the effects. Furthermore, topical applications’ results can be short-lived compared to other methods.

Ingestion

Ingestion of CBD means consuming food infused with CBD. Thanks to the choice available, edibles have bridged the gap between topical applications and inhalations.

As well as CBD-infused gummies, those wanting to ingest CBD can also enjoy cookies and protein bars. The ingestion approach is often preferred by those who use CBD for anxiety due to its discreet nature.

Are There Side Effects With CBD?

When trying any form of treatment for the first time, potential side effects can be a concern.

As with the potential benefits of CBD, the side effects can vary. This is another reason why it is essential to start with small doses. The following is an overview of some of the possible side effects that can be experienced when consuming CBD.

  • Change in Appetite
  • Upset Stomach
  • Diarrhea and Nausea
  • Change in Weight

The side effects are not common but are something to be mindful of when considering the different options available.

Finding the correct dosage can be an overwhelming endeavor at times. Still, there is a lot of advice available when making a purchase, and many find that they can ascertain the correct dose within a reasonably quick time frame.

Those who plan to use CBD for anxiety can benefit from a calmer state of mind, whereas those with muscles and joint pain can find their lifestyle more enjoyable. However, it is important to remember that CBD is not the right fit for everyone.

Despite the potential benefits that CBD can provide, any conditions must be discussed with a medical professional first. This ensures that CBD consumption does not affect other medications or planned treatments.

PhenoLife understands the concerns that many can have regarding CBD but taking small steps until you find a method that works for you will always work better than attempting to ingest considerable amounts.

Nature in Treating Anxiety

In the United States, anxiety disorders are the most frequent mental illnesses, affecting an estimated 40 million adults over the age of 18 each year, or 18.1 percent of the total population. Anxiety disorders, which are widely accepted as highly curable, are only received by roughly 37% of those who suffer from them. Misdiagnosis, lack of access to care, or antipathy to standard therapies may be to blame for this.

As anxiety problems become more prevalent, researchers, doctors, and patients alike are becoming increasingly interested in the medical use of cannabis to treat them. Anxiety has risen to the top of the list of permitted disorders as more states allow medicinal cannabis and other jurisdictions reexamine their medical usage policies.

That was made feasible by research into the endo cannabinoid system (ECS) and its function in homeostasis. Cannabis is being used by professionals as a first-line and adjuvant therapy in the treatment of anxiety in patients with varying degrees of efficacy, even though no specific dosage or timing guidelines exist.

Anxiety

It is both a physiological and emotional response to perceived threats. Anxiety is defined by a wide range of emotions and bodily responses, ranging from a racing heart to frantically fleeing from the source of the threat. For anxiety to be categorized as pathological, the emotional response must be excessive in terms of duration, frequency, or intensity.

A defined by excessive worry and emotions of fear, dread, and uneasiness that lasts six months or more,” begins the ICD-10 definition of a generalized anxiety disorder (code F41.1). 3 People who have anxiety will tell you it’s not as simple as just taking a pill.

For some people, anxiolytic symptoms are episodic while for others, they might be long-term. anxiety can cause physical symptoms like abdominal pain and headaches, and emotional reactions like being unable to get out of bed or limiting social interactions if left untreated.

Symptoms of anxiety

Phenomenons such as GAD and disorder can be classified into several diagnostic groups: SAD, SAD, specific phobias, PTSD, OCD, MDD, and persistent mood disorders. Major depressive disorders can also be classified into these diagnostic groups. It doesn’t matter what the diagnosis is; regardless of the severity and duration of the mental and physical symptoms, they are all the same.

Anatomy of Nerves: Neurotransmitters such as adrenaline and cortisol are released by the brain when it senses a threat, no matter how little. Constant exposure to these substances may create anxiety, difficulties concentrating, and even panic attacks in those who are already prone to these symptoms. Anxiety-induced weight gain, depression, and suicide are all possible side effects of chronic exposure to these hormones and neurotransmitters in the body and brain.

Inhalation and exhalation: During a manic episode, rapid, shallow breathing can be caused by the release of hormones in the body.

The cardiovascular system: Anxiety can cause heart palpitations, which can feel like a throbbing sensation in the chest. They are most commonly connected with panic episodes, but they can also occur with anxiety in general. Anxiety can cause a rise in blood pressure. Hypertension can develop if the condition is not addressed.

The body’s defense system: When stress hormones are released into the body regularly, the immune system is weakened, increasing the risk of bacterial and viral infections and resulting in more illnesses.

Anxiety Disorders and their Treatment

Anxiety, if left untreated, can cause major problems in one’s day-to-day activities, such as difficulty concentrating, completing daily duties, and forming or maintaining intimate connections. Anxiety can make it difficult for some people to leave the house or even get out of bed. It has been related to more problems like depression, suicide, and substance misuse as well as a physical illness if it is not addressed.

Anxiety disorders can be treated using a variety of approaches, each tailored to the patient’s specific symptoms and degree of severity. Medicine (covered in detail below), therapy, complementary and alternative medicine, and transcranial magnetic stimulation are the most common techniques that have been shown successful (TMS).

Antidepressants and antianxiety medicines are often prescribed in conjunction with therapy or other supportive treatment for anxiety disorders. A treatment strategy should take into account all available options, including the use of cannabis.

Therapy

It is the most frequent and effective form of anxiety therapy, which focuses on identifying and modifying one’s thinking and behavioral patterns. Anxiety-controlling ability can only be learned through active participation by the patient in therapy. In the past, patients could only communicate with their therapists in person, but now, thanks to technological improvements, they may do so over the phone, video call, or even text messaging.

TMS

When medicine and other treatments have failed to alleviate the symptoms of depression, TMS may be a safe, effective, and non-invasive alternative. Electromagnetic coils that send pulses through the scalp create a magnetic field that induces a tiny electric current in a specific area of the brain. Treatment using TMS has FDA approval.

Medication for treatment for anxiety

The use of anti-anxiety drugs for short- or long-term treatment of anxiety disorders can be done on its own or in conjunction with other approaches. Finding the drug that best treats the symptoms of a patient usually needs the patient’s patience and time.

One in six Americans, according to the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey from 2009 to 2010, takes an antidepressant or sedative medication. Using these medications, we may be able to learn more about how cannabis impacts our neural system. Anti-anxiety medications can be divided into four main .

Selective serotonin-reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are antidepressants that prevent some brain nerve cells from reabsorbing serotonin (citalopram, escitalopram, fluoxetine, paroxetine, and sertraline). Both venlafaxine and duloxetine (SNRIs) have a dual mode of action, which is an antidepressant. Serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake into brain cells is their main goal of theirs.

One of the most used medications for treating anxiety is benzodiazepines, which include lorazepam, alprazolam, clonazepam, and diazepam. Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GAB) is a neurotransmitter that has been shown to have anxiolytic (de-anxiety) properties. It has been found that three of the earliest antidepressant medications-amitriptyline, imipramine, and nortriptyline-increase norepinephrine and serotonin levels and block acetylcholine’s function.

Anxiety and the ECS

To keep things stable, no matter how much the external world changes, the ECS does a variety of things. Numerous biological processes, cognitive processes, and stress reactions, including anxiety, are influenced by the extracellular matrix (ECS). Antagonisms of the CB1 receptor and inhibitors of AEA hydrolysis both boost serotonin-producing neurons’ firing rates. It has an anxiolytic-like effect when serotonin neurotransmission is increased.

has been demonstrated to reduce the activity of the enzyme that breaks down AEA, resulting in higher levels of AEA and increased serotonin activity, both of which have anxiolytic-like effects. The release of norepinephrine is stimulated by THC’s effect on cannabis receptors. With the addition of CBD and THC, an SNRI-like effect can be achieved.

Cannabis’ Biphasic in Treating Anxiety

Anxiety is a typical side effect of medical cannabis use, and panic episodes of paranoia have been observed following high amounts of THC ingestion. Many patients use medicinal cannabis to relax, but anxiety is also a prevalent adverse consequence.

No wonder cannabis has both anxiogenic and anxiolytic properties when considering the role of the ECS in regulating a patient’s response to stimuli. Generally, modest doses have anxiolytic-like effects, but high doses have the opposite effect.

to Treat Anxiety Disorders

As a non-intoxicating cannabinoid with the potential to treat a wide range of symptoms and illnesses, Cannabis oil has recently claimed attracted considerable attention. Anxiety is the most common of these. When asked why they wanted to try CBD oil, more than 2,000 Americans said it helped with relaxation, anxiety, and sleep.

Symptoms of social anxiety in patients with SAD were reduced in a small 2011 research that used cannabis. Participants’ brain scans revealed alterations in blood flow to brain areas connected to anxiety. Participants in this study felt better, and their brains reacted differently to worry as a result.

Cannabis oil has the potential to treat a wide range of anxiety disorders, including GAD. To be clear, the majority of the study to date has focused on the effects of acute CBD delivery, therefore further research into the long-term effects of chronic calming cannabis dose is needed before any form of clinical advice is made.

Conclusion

If you’re a health care practitioner, you must understand the basics of cannabis to confidently and effectively respond to patient questions. To avoid this, patients will seek advice and affirmation from others in their social circles as well as the internet and their local marijuana dispensary. When used as part of a customized treatment strategy, cannabis can be an effective first- or second-line treatment.

Is Cannabis a Potent Treatment for Anxiety Disorders?

The use of cannabis in managing various medical conditions such as anxiety is still in its infant stage, and more research is required. There is no clear data on how cannabis can manage anxiety disorders. Ideally, preliminary research also shows that cannabis may even worsen the symptoms of the condition and, in some circumstances, interfere with some types of treatment, such as exposure therapy. Thus you should use medical marijuana with caution.

But other research states that cannabis is a treatment for anxiety disorders. For looking to find out if cannabis is an alternative to reduce anxiety, using medical CBD is the most effective method. However, the usage of medical CBD should be closely monitored by a mental health professional and medical provider.

The popularity of medical cannabis makes many wonders about its effectiveness in managing various medical conditions.

What is Cannabis?

Cannabis is also referred to as marijuana and is made up of various cannabinoids, natural compounds in this plant. Multiple cannabinoids such as CBD and THC with multiple receptors in the brain and make up your endocannabinoid system. The system controls various physiological processes such as appetite, mood, pain, and memory.

Ideally, CBD is famous for its medicinal value and is most preferred as it does not have any psychoactive properties. On the other hand, THC is known for its psychoactive properties and will make you feel ”high”.

There are various species of cannabis, with the primary being Sativa and Indica. Cannabis Sativa has higher concentrations of THC compared to the cannabis Indica.

Cannabis vs Fiction

Many misconceptions and false data about cannabis are available in the news or other published media. Some of the common fictions about cannabis primarily include:

  • Cannabis is a very harmful drug that can cause various medical conditions such as lung disease and psychosis.
  • Cannabis can lead to use
  • It is a very addictive drug

It is also important to note that there can be misleading data about the medical use of cannabis in the market. Medical cannabis substances are not regulated by Food and Drug Administration () as they are considered dietary supplements. Thus, most manufacturers produce illegal products and make false medical claims about the products.

Some misconceptions about the use of medical marijuana in managing anxiety include:

  • There is enough evidence that medical marijuana is a potent treatment of anxiety.
  • There are minimal side of marijuana
  • Cannabis is safe to use in the long term
  • What Research Says About Cannabis

According to some preliminary research, THC is helpful in anxiety-inducing, and CBD is effective in reducing anxiety.

People using cannabis for recreational use can lead to some health risks and increased chances of anxiety, which often occurs after withdrawal. According to other studies, patients who use medical cannabis have reported reducing anxiety symptoms.

However, it is essential to note that research is still inconclusive. It is pretty challenging to conclude the effectiveness of medical cannabis in managing anxiety and other conditions such as depression and PTSD.

Do you have any Marijuana Use Disorder?

According to reports, there are positive of using medical marijuana for managing various medical conditions. However, the studies are still not conclusive, and it is difficult to determine how the product can be used in managing anxiety. For instance, cannabis has both anxiety-reducing and anxiety-inducing effects. Thus it is correct to state that THC and CBD have opposing effects.

Thus it is difficult to determine whether medical cannabis effectively manages anxiety due to the controversial studies. According to a study conducted in 2019 that examined 72 patients, it was found that CBD helps to reduce and various sleep concerns.

Legality of Cannabis

After discovering cannabis as a treatment modality, the government started to place various sanctions on the cultivation and sale of cannabis in 1937. Since there are multiple concerns about its psychoactive properties, it was placed under Schedule 1 drugs in 1970. The government still prohibits the use and sale of THC substances. However, state laws are legalizing the use of CBD products with a THC concentration of less than 0.3%.

Since there are federal regulations of various cannabis products in the United States, it is essential to check the different state and federal laws before purchasing any medical marijuana products. Remember that the research on the use of CBD in managing anxiety is still in its infancy stage, and more research is required.

Before purchasing any medical cannabis products, it is essential to contact your doctor. You need to inform them about the current medications you are taking since medical cannabis can interfere with the therapeutic effects of certain drugs. Some of the common factors that you should check before purchasing medical marijuana products from online stores primarily include:

  • The certificate of analysis created by an independent third-party laboratory; the COA should have important information about the potency of the product and how it was processed.
  • Only purchase from reputable brands; for instance, you can check various online reviews about the company’s credibility before making any purchase.
  • Also, ensure that you purchase CBD products with a THC concentration of less than 0.3%
  • Ensure that the brand does not make false medical claims about its product.

Conclusion

It is important to note that cognitive behavioral therapy is the best method of managing anxiety-related issues. Using marijuana without close supervision from a doctor can cause interference with other therapeutic interventions and may even worsen the symptoms. If you consider incorporating medical marijuana to manage anxiety symptoms, your doctor should review the history of substance use and any psychiatric issues.

You should not use medical marijuana as the only treatment option for anxiety-related conditions. If you are already using this product, ensure that you consult a mental health professional. It is also important to note that cannabis can have mild side effects such as diarrhea, vomiting, and dry mouth. Remember that medical marijuana can be used to manage other medical conditions such as chronic pain, arthritis, depression, and manage symptoms of cancer.

CBD vs. THC: What’s the Difference?

As the legal use of and other products spreads, consumers are becoming more aware of their choices. Two natural chemicals found in plants of the Cannabis genus are cannabidiol () and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). While both are cannabinoids, the two have very different effects on your body.

CBD vs THC: What’s the ?

There are three types of Cannabis plants that are most commonly used medicinally or recreationally: Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis. Each plant has different concentrations of CBD and THC; in fact, cannabis grown for recreational use in the U.S. is typically very low in CBD and high in THC, whereas hemp used industrially is just the opposite.

CBD has been identified as a medicinal product with zero psychoactive compounds, while THC, on the other hand, is a psychoactive chemical known to induce euphoria. Both substances have been found to have very different effects on the human body given their differing compositions, which is why the debate of CBD vs. THC rages on.

CBD VS THC: Their Chemical Structures

CBD is antipsychotic, neuroprotective, and can reduce seizures. It counteracts the psychoactive effects of THC by blocking the pathway that allows for tetrahydrocannabinol to induce its psychomimetic effects in the . has been used to chronic pain, inflammation, anxiety disorders, muscle spasms, seizures, , depression, lack of appetite, among other things.

Ideally, CBD and THC have the same molecular structure; the only difference is that CBD has a hydroxyl group attached to its chain. THC’s hydroxyl group is replaced with a carboxylic acid ring which causes it to produce psychoactive effects that are more intense than those of CBD.

CBD and THC are similar to your body’s endocannabinoids, a type of neurotransmitter. These chemicals help regulate homeostasis in nearly every mammal. In humans, endocannabinoids affect appetite, mood, memory and pain. They’re also involved in regulating sleep, growth and development, immune function, stress management and much more.

CBD VS THC Psychoactive Properties

THC is one of the most well-known cannabinoids because it has psychoactive properties. While, CBD is not a psychoactive substance.

These two chemicals depend on several factors, but one of the most important distinctions is that THC directly engages with the endocannabinoid system’s CB1 receptors. Because it engages with the endocannabinoid system, THC has several effects on the body. The main chemical component in marijuana is -8 THC, which binds to cannabinoid receptors in the brain. It causes a sensation of euphoria. CBD poorly binds CB1 receptors. CBD does not bind at all to CB1 receptors.

CBD VS THC Legality

CBD oil is legal in some states, whereas THC products are not federally legal. To be legally sold in all 50 states, CBD products must contain less than 0.3% THC by volume, according to the 2014 Farm Bill. This bill also legalized hemp growing under certain circumstances in the U.S., which can be a source of CBD.

Different states have different laws about the legality of cannabis products with higher levels of THC. For example, in Massachusetts, any product that contains more than 0.3% trace amount of THC is considered marijuana and is therefore illegal to sell and possess. There are legal limits on how much THC can be contained in cannabis products in other states such as Colorado, Washington, and California.

CBD VS THC Medical Benefits

Although CBD and THC have been studied extensively, little research highlights their medical benefits. However, cannabis with higher levels of THC is effective in treating things like chronic pain, nausea, loss of appetite, and insomnia.

Thc can help relieve symptoms like pain, inflammation (like arthritis ), stress, depression, anxiety, addiction, and epilepsy. Many doctors prescribe thc to help with nausea after chemotherapy because it can reduce vomiting. It’s often used to increase appetite in people who’ve lost weight or are severely ill.

CBD is associated with several medical benefits, including treating seizures, inflammation, pain, anxiety disorders, addiction, and nausea. It has also been used to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy manage psychotic disorders, and it can even help treat severe mental conditions like schizophrenia.

The Food and Drug Administration ( FDA) approved Epidiolex, a CBD medication, in 2018 to treat seizures associated with two rare and severe forms of epilepsy.

CBD VS THC Side Effects

The side effects of THC are often associated with feelings of euphoria, anxiety, and trouble concentrating. CBD is not known to have these adverse side effects. CBD is known to cause side effects such as dry mouth, low blood pressure, lightheadedness, drowsiness, and fatigue.

Cannabis has been used medicinally for thousands of years. As modern research uncovers the benefits of cannabis, more people than ever before are turning to natural remedies like hemp and cannabis oils. As the legalization of cannabis spreads, more and more people will find relief from their ailments through its unique properties.

CBD VS THC Drug Testing

Both THC and CBD are fat-soluble. This means they are stored in the body’s fatty tissue, not water-soluble like other molecules. Over time, the body will continue to hold onto these cannabinoids regardless of whether or not a person is actively using cannabis products. Frequent use may make it difficult for people looking to pass drug tests.

It is important to note that not all drug tests have the capabilities to detect CBD. Drug testing laboratories must determine the concentration of THC metabolites in a person’s system. This is not possible for CBD due to its low concentration and non-psychoactive .

However, most drug tests will be able to detect traces of THC either in blood or urine. Frequent cannabis users may have high levels of THC in their system for a couple of weeks or more. This could result in a positive drug test even if the person has stopped using.

Conclusion

Both THC and CBD are valuable parts of the cannabis plant. They each hold medicinal benefits that can be helpful to people suffering from different medical conditions, but it is essential to understand the differences between the two compounds. The critical difference between THC and CBD is how each interacts with our bodies’ cannabinoid receptors. While THC directly engages these receptors, CBD does not. Some people prefer CBD oil to THC oil – they get all the benefits, with fewer side effects.

Delta-8 and CBD, is it effective in dealing with anxiety?

Most people demand products for recreational purposes or their medicinal properties. They feature more than 100 chemical compounds, each having its unique properties. Scientists have found that both Delta-8, and CBD are very useful in managing depression and . Here, we will know we will get to these products while comparing their effects and properties.

Difference between Delta-8 and CBD

CBD and Delta-8 have the same chemical configurations. They have similar and other distinctive properties. The potentials of both CBD and Delta-8 THC are not well known, and scientists are still trying to find out. On the other hand, these two cannabinoids have valuable therapeutic .

What is Delta-8 THC?

Delta-8 THC or Delta-8 Tetrahydrocannabinol is among the 100+ cannabinoids from the famous Cannabis sativa plant, never far from marijuana. Delta-8 THC is receiving more and more research as time goes by. Like marijuana, Delta-8 is well known to give you feelings of becoming “high.” This needs to be taken in smaller and controlled amounts since it has a chemical compound with mild euphoric effects while improving your mood. An analog of THC shows that Delta-8 combines CB1 receptors of the endocannabinoid system for more beneficial results. These include;

  • · Helps to relieve anxiety while offering you a better sleep
  • · Posses anti-emetic properties that prevent nausea
  • · Aids in increasing appetite
  • · Equipped with pain-reducing or analgesics.

What is CBD?

CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is an active compound found in the Cannabis sativa plant. It is the second common , with THC being the first. If you compare it with THC, you will find that CBD does not possess psychoacoustics properties. Moreover, you will find CBD in most products, unlike THC. This includes CBD vape, CBD patches, and so on. All these delivery methods have some pros and cons. All in all, CBD vape has a quick delivery method. Most scientists have found some information regarding CBD. These are;

  • CBD cream helps to get rid of skin lesions
  • CBD supplements are very useful in managing depression and anxiety
  • Suitable for curbing sleep disorders such as and sleep apnea
  • Ideal for reducing any inflammation and pains from various body disorders
  • Aids in alleviating neuropathic and other cancer-related

How do Cannabinoids aid in relieving anxiety?

Several clinical studies have been done in the past. It has been brought to light that the Endocannabinoid system helps manage depression and anxiety. Other studies concluded that cannabinoids such as CBD and THC take control of the Endocannabinoid system by bringing together endocannabinoid receptors to relieve stress. However, most of this information about the anxiolytic properties of cannabinoids was obtained from human studies and small-scale animal models.

A study done back in 2011 revealed that CBD is suitable for lowering social anxiety disorders. Another research from “Physiatric Online” shows that cannabinoids help relieve mood disorders and post-traumatic stress disorders. Another study in 2014 confirmed that CBD has some antidepressant and anti-anxiety properties. The research of 2019 came up with mixed results under the study of the effects of cannabinoids on anxiety. This research did not portray any antidepressant or anxiolytic effects on the lab animals. Therefore, THC is the best choice for relieving anxiety and depression. Cannabinoid users also confirm that CBD supplements do wonders in managing mood disorders, anxiety, and depression. This, therefore, made the cannabinoid lovers ask themselves which Cannabinoid is better in with anxiety. Let’s keep moving.

Which Cannabinoid is best for managing anxiety?

Various evidence and research show that both Delta-8 THC and CBD have similar effects in dealing with anxiety. However, you should consider several factors before choosing the type of Cannabinoid to use.

Delta-8 THC displays some drug tests. Therefore, this means that if your workplace opts for random drug tests, it would never be wise to use Delta-8 for anxiety. CBD is the best choice because it does not display any drug reports.

A comparative study done in 2008 showed that Delta-8 THC helps increase your appetite, thus increasing food consumption. If you are looking forward to reducing weight and keeping fit, it won’t be wise to go for Delta-8 since it would go against your regime. On the other hand, CBD lowers appetite, thus reducing weight.

Delta-8 vs. CBD: Safety Concerns

There is not much conclusive research about Delta-8; therefore, there is no information about the effects of consuming Delta-8 THC. Those people who used Delta-8 THC spoke of several side effects such as;

  • Anxiety
  • Numbness
  • Increased or decreased heart rate
  • Low blood pressure
  • Drowsiness and lethargy
  • Confusion and paranoia

Delta-8 is less potent if you compare it with the analog Delta-9. It possesses some effects such as being mildly addictive and making you overdependent on it. What’s better with Delta-8 THC is that it does not cause long-lasting effects on your mind and body. This means that whenever you experience any adverse effects, it would be best to withdraw from it.

On the other hand, scientists have established some adverse effects of CBD. Most people claim to have experienced some side effects such as ;

  • Diarrhea
  • Drowsiness
  • Fatigue
  • Dry mouth
  • Low blood pressure
  • Liver dysfunction
  • Reduced appetite

CBD poses no dangerous risks if you take it in controllably. This should not reach a point whereby you heavily depend on CBD. So, you should avoid taking them in heavier doses. CBD does not work well with some medications such as corticosteroids, blood thinners, immunosuppressives, and many more. THC causes reactions with certain sedatives if you take them for long. Therefore, you should always consider the medications you are using before opting for these cannabinoids.

The Bottom Line

Several studies done in the past have revealed that you can use either CBD or Delta-8 THC to curb anxiety. However, further studies show that Delta-8 THC is more addictive, unlike CBD. This can be readily displayed on your drug report. Additionally, it can increase weight; thus, obesity can start creeping in.

So, in conclusion, it is clear that CBD is a better choice compared to Delta-8 THC if you need a cannabinoid to manage anxiety. You should watch out and be more vigilant regarding its dosages, side effects, and drug interactions.

CBD & anxiolysis

It should come as no surprise that cannabidiol (CBD), a non-psychoactive synthetic fix found in marijuana plants, is experiencing a resurgence in the wellness and health business. The list of expected CBD advantages seems to be implausible.

Even though scientific research on CBD’s is limited, growing evidence suggests that it might be effective for various conditions ranging from a throbbing pain to a sleeping difficulty and that it could even help cancer patients with the chemotherapy-induced illness. However, stress is maybe one of the most well-known conditions that CBD may aid with.

According to a 2018 cross-sectional study of CBD consumers, “stress” ranks third among the top three reasons for using marijuana-derived medicine, behind “misery” and “torment.” CBD might be a welcome reprieve for some, given that around 20% of the adult population in the United States reports suffering some stress.

To be safe, you should always see your primary care physician before putting anything into your body, regardless of the purpose of doing so. You should have completed your assignment as well. To start here’s you need to know cannabidiol (CBD) and if it may assist with anxiety.

What exactly is CBD, yet again?

CBD is one of over 100 synthetic combinations present in the marijuana plant, exploited to create both cannabis and contemporary hemp. CBD may be found in both marijuana and modern hemp. CBD is a synthetic cousin of tetrahydrocannabinol, often known as THC, and has many of the same qualities. The fundamental difference between the two mixes is the activity of a single iota. In any event, there is one crucial distinction between the two: THC may make you feel euphoric, while CBD does not.

The CBD offered to customers is a hemp-based product that cannot include more than 0.3 percent THC.

THC concentrations of 0.3 percent convergence. For a reality, no matter how much you eat, you will not get ecstatic.

Okay, I get what you’re getting at… Draw the component that CBD uses to reduce stress.

Regardless, even though research on CBD is still in its early stages, it is thought to assist the body use serotonin, a neurotransmitter, and synapse involved in mood regulation. Serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), a kind of medicine used to anxiety and depression, are thought to act similarly to SSRIs.

According to James Murrough, MD, director of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai’s Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program, SSRIs function by concentrating on a serotonin receptor known as 5-HT1A in the brain and increasing serotonin accessibility in the brain.

In this vein, research published in 2019 indicated that CBD increased 5-HT1A transmission in mice and reduced “unease-like behaviors.” This discovery will now be tested on real people by genuine scientists.

Are there any other CBD and stress studies that have been conducted thus far?

Even though the majority of the evidence for every day, low-dose CBD comes from personal accounts (people saying things like “CBD has helped me deal with my anxiety”), there are “solid clues in the clinical writing that CBD has anti-tension properties,” according to Dr. Steve P., chair of Curaleaf’s clinical advisory board and representative overseer of the Duke Cancer Institute. Curaleaf is a clinical and health weed administrator and has dispensaries, development offices, and handling offices all across the nation. Vaping is a better alternative to CBD flowers and is also more cost-effective since only a small dose is needed for a powerful effect. But not all vape devices are created equal. The best way to avoid harsh or unfamiliar chemicals is to use 100% pure hemp-based inhalation devices. These contain no PG, VG, solvents, toxic metals, or additives. The CBD is absorbed just as fast without any burning or combustion process.
